Employee volunteering
Many companies help their staff to volunteer. Some offer formal support programmes or run team challenge days, others free up time for employees to do their own volunteering, or make available resources such as a meeting room to the community groups that their staff are involved with.
Volunteering by employees can make a huge impact on a local community, as well as increasing the skills of the workforce and working towards the companies corporate social responsibility aims.
Northampton Volunteering Centre can help you to develop your own Employer Supported Volunteering scheme, by providing information and specialist advice. We can also provide you with contact details for local voluntary and community groups who would welcome your employees as volunteers, either individually or as a team.
If you are interested in organising a one off team based volunteering day then have a look at our hints and tips on organising a challenge day.
Because this is an area of work that we are not currently funded to deliver, there may be a charge for some services where more NVC staff time is involved.
