Volunteering England

Volunteering England works to support an increase in the quality, quantity, accessibility of volunteering throughout England.Their website contains a large quantity of useful information on how to get into volunteering.

do-It Website

do-it.org.uk is the only national database of volunteering opportunities in the UK. Northampton Volunteering Centre opportunities are included on this website. You can use your postcode to find volunteering opportunities near where you live. You can then fill in an online registration form and more details of that opportunity will be emailed to you.The website also has a blogs section where you can read other people's experiences of volunteering.

Virtual Volunteering

The magazine on the Do-It website  gives lots of useful information in virtual volunteering

Online Volunteering Service connects developments organisations and volunteers through their website. You can search for volunteering assignments on their website and then express an interest. This service is run by the United Nations Volunteers Programme.

CSV Virtual Volunteers Project is run by the charity Community Service Volunteers. This project aims to provide volunteering opportunties with community organisations to people who wish to develop and utilise their IT skills.

Overseas Volunteering

InterVol brings together information and impartial advice on volunteering overseas. They believe that volunteering overseas should have positive outcomes for both volunteers and local communities.
